This is my millionth post, I apologize.
in the fall
last week of april:
I do not own the property(maybe would like to buy in the future) but I cannot stand the backyard as it is, plus, I love gardening even if I am a beginner. I posted recently for I.D. and figured most of what's growing right now is weeds. Some of it I don't mind because it's flowering, but now it's gotten out of control. I have vines growing everywhere, and weed weed weed everywhere. Imagine that last picture times 10. It's jumanji.
So, me and the boyfriend decided to pull it out. We pulled most of the weed out but we are pretty sure some weed will still keep growing. We don't really wanna get into planting grass because the lawn is just so oddly shaped as you can see, and I don't think that grass would do well.
And Yada yada yada..I bought a
hummingbird & butterfly mixture that has annuals and perennials (about 25 different kinds of flowers) and I was wondering if it would be a good idea for me to just sow the seeds directly in the soil and let it mix in with some weeds. Or should we try and get weed killer...do that whole thing? I just want it to look pretty and not so messy. ATM it looks like no one has lived here in the last 10 years ;)
Sorry about the novel, and thanks for any help!!! (I'm in 6a if that helps)
