Next time I'll just use plain terra cotta!

Forgive me if this has been posted recently; I just joined...

I bought a cute little pot at Crate and Barrel today, and I planted my mini rose in it just now. I took it to the sink to water it, and guess what! No drainage hole. (I was in a hurry when I bought the pot, so I didn't check).

It's this one if you are curious. It does have a terra cotta type bottom, so maybe that allows for seepage?

I've never had a pot with no drainage hole. I was already nervous about the mini rose anyway, because I've never had any roses, so now I am even more nervous that I am going to drown the plant.

Should I repot the mini rose in a pot with a hole? Or can I just water the mini rose in small amounts (1/4 cup every three days or something), taking care not to drown the plant?

And if I do repot the rose, what do I put in the no-hole pot? It was $13, so I want to use it. Cactus, so I don't have to water it very often? Any other plant that can sit in a little water?

flower: rose
