I read that grass clippings were good to put on top of my pumpkins. In fact the rule (so I've heard) is that "if it's dead, put it on your pumpkin patch."
I would never think that browned out grass clippings would make good for anything on soil where you grow your veggies.
So the question is: 1) is that a rule strictly for pumpkins or can it apply to other plants? 2) what would you NOT want grass clippings near? I know grass clippings have a low ph which is harmful to some plants.
