How do you now if GARLIC is done growing?
Question about gardening from your local gardener:
I know garlic is done growing after nine months LIKE A BABY!!!! but I planted a few batches of garlic last year and I am know sure which garlic is which....I was silly and didn't mark them.
Do you know what happens if garlic grows for an extra few months (I was thinking about picking all of it at one in March or so)?
Would it go bad?
Also, I live in New England and I was told that I can only plant local garlic here. Does anyone have any suggestions about where to get fairly cheap local garlic to plant? I tried the local farmer's markets but garlic sold there is rather expensive!
