Catalog Time
Hello, Gardening buddies! Happy New Year. New Year, new garden plans, eh? So, I forgot to tell you one of my favorite pre-holiday projects. I brought in my strawberry jar with the Rosemary that was thriving, despite cooler winter temps. Also, a container with a clematis that didn't get put in the ground this summer. The darned thing was growing like blue blazes! So, I spent the better part of a morning transplanting the rosemary into smaller pots which I put in my large dish garden, with a water fountain in the background, and placed my clematis off to the side, in the rear. There, I entwined it in a metal grillwork plaque,which hangs across the corner of the walls behind the dish garden and fountain.
The clematis is blooming like crazy, although not yet purple. It's a Crystal Fountain clematis.
Now, the year's flower catalogs are arriving daily. What fun! So far, I have received Select Seeds, Bluestine Perennials, Paek's Seeds, and today, Richter's Herbs.
