Nil's kitten learns fast.
In the past 40 minutes, he has discovered:
(1) That if he is on the counter and I stand up and move towards him, I will grab him and put him on the floor.
(2) That if he gets off the counter before I reach him, I will leave him be.
(3) That if he gets off the counter and onto the bar stool, it takes hardly any effort at all to get back onto the counter.
(4) That hopping back onto the barstool, flattening himself apologetically when I look at him and skulking up onto the counter when I look away is therefore almost foolproof.
(5) That stealing refried beans and cheese out of the dirty dish in the sink is WORTH IT ALL.
...Goddamn cat.
