this doesn't feel like it needs to be friends-locked.
I've been really into britpop lately. About 6 months ago I got into Lady Sovereign. Two months ago (and continuing to obsess) was Amy Winehouse. Now I just finally heard the Lily Allen record and I can tell it'll be my summer record for sure.
You know how some albums are totally seasonal? They just evoke a seasonal feeling for some reason. For instance....Black Sabbath albums feel like winter. Heavy, plodding. Paris 1919 by John Cale feels like fall - there's optimism, but it's fading, and half of it is so erudite that it feels like those late fall days where you just sit inside and read and get cozy.
Lily Allen feels like summer.
