Introduction
Hi there. I'm Michelle, a 40yo mother of 3, and I'm trying to learn to garden. I've started a square foot garden this year and am learning the in's and outs of it slowly.
My g-grandmother had a garden the whole time I was growing up that I "helped" out with and I always thought it was in my blood to be able to garden well. And then I tried one on my own about 15 years ago and it was a disaster. I then realized that I had no idea what I was doing.
Having a child and wanting more, going to school and generally busy all the time (and no internet access!) I gave it up. Only to find that I've never really lost the passion.
So I plan to almost do a picture journal of what I do this year, hoping to learn from my mistakes.
All that to say, as I was making pics for my journal I came across
And I'm wondering if anyone knows what this is? Sadly, it died a couple of days after I made this pic. The picture really doesn't do justice to the beauty and size of this thing. It was as big as my full hand (fingers, wrist and all)!
