SO UM GUYS
I'M GOING TO MEXICO
IN LIKE EIGHT DAYS
i've known for a while, but it's only hitting me now!
simon sent me this picture today and i just kind of stared in awe at how beautiful it is... and then it hit me like WOAH i'm going to be there, in a country i've never been, for ten whole days in LESS THAN ten days. yeah, i'm going to colima on the 23rd of december. i will celebrate christmas, my birthday, and new year's there. aaaah!!! i mean, on top of that simon and i haven't seen each other in over a month, and his whole family is coming, too. i feel like we've talked about doing this since before we even fell in love and it's so exciting that it's actually happening. i really thought europe would happen first, but i didn't really have a choice in the matter (in the best way possible).
for the record, i've actually been feeling incredibly guilty about the whole thing for the most part; not being able to pay rent, whinning to everyone about how i can't even afford to feed myself, but then answering "when are you going home for christmas?" and answering oh hai exotic fantastic christmas getaway, but! my christmas/birthday present from my parents and simon is my plane ticket! and i'll still be poor when i get back! (plus i tried to refund the ticket so i could just pay simon back for all the money i owe him but i couldn't)
so what do i have to be grumpy about?
aaaaaaaaaaaah i miss simon so much!!! he is so awesome!
