Tommorow is world love of dolphins day.
Yes, it is. The Sea Shepard Society, and hopefully some other people, will gather. To condemn and vilify the slaughter of Dolphines world wide. Particularly here in Taiji cove, Japan.

Thing is…

Dolphins are dirty creatures. Full of Mercury as a predator. Smart. No doubt. So is the Blue fin Tuna. So why…? Do they keep coming back? Generations of Dolphins have seen their families kidnapped or gutted in front of them. Why keep coming back? Thats not even the issue though. They are bad to eat. That is not ethno centric. Dolphins are bad to eat. So is the Blue fin Tuna. Difference though…? Tuna is harvested to eat. Same as the Shark fin or… etc etc… Dolphines are mostly kidnapped by people to be sold to resorts that offer SWIM with Dolphin tours. They may even become happy with the situation. They don't actually have to work for dinner. They simply have to amuse. I went dogsledding last week. Sidebar. Pure bred Siberian Huskies. Eager to work. Like life was all about pulling hauling mushers. (mushers is not actually a term)BTW. Dogs are domesticated. You can eat them.
