I started the day with one of my mostest favoritest morning activities: washing dishes! That's right, folks... I actually leave dirty dishes in the sink at night just so I can look forward to washing them in the morning. There's something about starting the day with a nice, sparkling, perfectly ordered rack of freshly-washed dishes. It sets the pace for the rest of the day... which, for me, included four loads of laundry and changing the litter box. :-) Oh, and a ton of work for my prof and for camp. Yea productivity!
So I guess yesterday was more exciting... it started off with an equally pleasant morning, followed by some trip-planning and shopping for spring break!!! Patrick and his roommate, Romain, and I are going to Yosemite and the Grand Canyon for a week of backpacking adventures!!! We're flying to Sacramento, spending four days in Yosemite, then renting a car and driving to the Grand Canyon for three days, then driving to Phoenix to spend half a day before flying back. Fun fun! It's a month away, but Patrick and Romain have never been backpacking before so we're going to do a few practice weekends to get them habituated to the weight and to break in their boots. And, speaking of BOOTS, those of you who were aware of my boot drama this summer will be happy to know that I finally found the perfect boots! Synthetic, actually waterproof, and totally hard-core. Outrageously expensive, but worth the investment. No more drama hopefully, just hiking! Woo-hoo!
