I was in my room attempting to do an outline for my paper and Afua was calling me to come outside. I get out there and I was looking around for her but she was still in the house. She came out and pointed to the direction of her car and the bumper was on the ground. I get on the phone to call the cops and Afua falls to the ground crying in the middle of the street. She then calls her mother and we finally walk up to the car and there was a card. The card explained that it was a police report made and she could call to get the report. The officer shows up and points out that the back of the car was also damaged and her wheel was pushed in and the axel was broken. She then falls to the ground again crying. She was saying that her father was gonna be mad at her. I was trying to explain that it wasn't her fault and she said he wouldn't understand. Luckily they know the guy who did it so I guess he reported it and he got ticketed. We'll know the details when the cop who made the report gets in to work at 10. Later on she called her father, and just like she said, he made it look like it was her fault. He told her that she didn't park correctly and that she should have parked in the parking lot because someone sees she has a nice car and would try to damage it. Since her parents are from a different country they don't really understand American college town life. The guy was probably drunk and driving. Her parents seemed kind of harsh. Her mother couldn't understand why she was being so upset. Well wouldn't you be upset if your only means of trasportation to work was now out of commission? It also sux because she's supposed to be going to Atlanta in 2 weeks and her friend Brandy already got her tickets to see Destiny's Child. Hopefully she'll have something planned. I stayed home from class with her and I didn't even shower or change clothes. Luckily I didn't really do too much at the rec this morning. And just to give you a visual memory...I'm now sitting at work in my gym clothes.
