Happy Birthday to my dad, then to Kristin, and then after that to Erica!
For RG we went out to dinner at the Outback Steakhouse with Bill. It's a tradition because he really likes Bloomin' Oninons. I gave RG the "Hot Headd" beanie that I was making for him when Cori's couch ate my knitting needle. Now we have matching hats!
I worked all day (ALL DAY- I thought I was going home at 5 PM but I actually left when the store closed at 9:30... Damn Harry Potter midnight madness party...). So I didn't get to wish Kristin a happy birthday. But then I called her cellphone in the middle of the night and left a nice long message.
Now I'm going to write random things about myself.
1. Pick one of your scars, how did you get it? Believe it or not, I don't have any noticible scars. I used to have a chicken pox scar but it faded. The "tell us about your scars" game was what we used as icebreakers in our HONS-firstyear meeting this year. I said that I don't have physical scars but I was emotionally scarred by both the Oompa Loompas in the Gene Wilder movie version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and by the TV show "Inspector Gadget."
2. What is on the walls in your room? Two pictures of chairs that my sister made in high school art class, one a painting, the other a drawing. Twelve small reproductions of Van Gogh paintings from a wall calendar. Cards with colorful designs. Pictures of me, Cori, Tine, Laura, and Jen from freshman year in high school. And pictures from Costa Rica.
3. What music do you listen to? Music on every station that we get on the radio around here. Not including talk radio because that's not music.
4. Do you know what time you were born? I've been told... but how do I know they were telling the truth?
5. What do you want more than anything right now? To get to Mexico and back safely.
6. What do you miss at times? First grade.
7. What is your most prized possession? I'm not sure I have one material thing. Clara was my first possession; that's significant.
8. What is your favourite smell? Green grass under melting snow.
9. Do you get claustrophobic? Sometimes. In revolving doors and in the walk-in freezer at work.
10. If you died tomorrow? I'd be dead.
11. The last person to make you cry? My mom.
12. What is your favourite cologne/perfume? There's this one scent that I remember boys used to wear in high school that I really liked. It smells kind of sweet, almost like pot, but not quite (although lots of boys smelled like pot in high school too!). I don't know what the scent was... probably soap or something. Also, when I stole Katy's clothes for senior banquet they all smelled good too, probably from her detergent or something.
13. What colour hair do you like on the opposite sex (or same)? No preference.
14. Where can you picture yourself being proposed to? I don't.
15. Do you like porn? Hahaha. Depends on the porn, I suppose.
16. What are your five favourite movies? I like FWWM, Almost Famous, Fight Club, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Napoleon Dynamite.
17. Where can you see yourself going for your honeymoon? Um, maybe I'll elope and not deal with all this wedding stuff.
18. Who is the last person you made mad? Les, the evil district manager.
19. Do you speak a different language? Spanish & Portuguese, with 90% and 6% proficiency, respectively.
20. What was the first gift someone ever gave you (of the opposite sex, unrelated)? I don't remember. Maybe Mikey Fiorio. He used to give me stickers in kindegarten.
21. Who is your favourite singer(s)? Shakira.
22. Favourite band(s)? Aerosmith.
23. What kind of books do you like to read? Mostly fiction.
24. Favourite dessert? Ice cream.
25. How do you like your coffee? The exact opposite of Black as Midnight on a Moonless Night (and that's redundant). The best coffee I ever had was in Costa Rica and it was half milk.
26. What's your favourite phrase? I learned a new word last night- I think it was "scrumdelectable."
27. Would you fall in love, knowing that the person was leaving? Probably. We all leave eventually.
28. What is the best way to tell someone how much they mean to you? Gnaw at their arms.

31. What annoys you most? I don't know about what annoys me the *most* but some things off the top of my head are
a) the excuse "Whatever. I wasn't sober." You don't do anything when you're drunk that you didn't think about doing sober. Except pass out.
b) When one person turns a whole bunch of people against another person, a la my house first year.
c) Gossip.
32. Have you ever done a prank call? Oh, have I.
33. Who is your current crush? Like, totally! OMG!
34. What is your worst fear? Revolving doors. The death of my father. Being trapped in the walk-in freezer. Inspector Gadget and the Oompa Loompas. Suddenly losing my vision while driving on a highway. War in my home country.
35. Say something to someone who you haven't talked to in awhile? Happy birthday! I wish I could see you more this summer, psuedo-lover.
36. Have you ever said "I love you" and not meant it? Not that I remember.

38. If you could get plastic surgery, what would you get? I don't think I would. I'd spend the money on a personal trainer.
