so I haven't posted a real update in a while... last night was the O.A.R. concert... i went with jamie, who was my roommate from my freshman year at university... oh my, it was an amazing concert!
michael tolcher opened. i love that man! this is the 3rd time i've seen him since april (i saw him in toronto with gavin degraw in april, and in boston in september with josh kelley). he is just amazing. jamie had never heard of him but i told her she would adore him and she did. and we got to meet him randomly after the show. he wasn't doing a meet and greet, but we were walking to the car for the drive home and we saw him outside his tour bus and made a point to stop.
O.A.R. = fantabulous!! i had only downloaded a handful of songs by them, and was really only obsessed with about 4 of them previous to the concert... but jamie and i were like let's just go anyways, it would be so fun! so we went. it was general admission and we pushed our way to the front and were front row for the entire show. it was AMAZING!! the venue was small-ish (it was at a club, it was kind of a bigger club but still... i've only recently strted going to concerts at small venues, and i'm used to going to shows at The Tweeter Center or The Fleet Center at home)... it was an amazing show. their songs are amazing, and their jams are wicked. there were some crowd surfers which was crazy. but we had front row seats. oh, and their last song was mine and jamie's favorite song, called "crazy game of poker", and there were points where the band stopped singing so the crowd could sing, and the lead singer, marc, was putting the mic in front of people and for the last like 3 minutes of crowd singing Jamie and I got to sing into the mic! it was AMAZING!
oh and we also stole Dave Matthews Band posters that were plastered on the streets of Toronto...
anyways that's my story. I totally recommend O.A.R. for my friends out there who adore guitar playing bands (although there are 6 members, and only 3 play guitar)...
