Has anyone noticed the "Simple English" section of Wikipedia?

I thought it was for homies. The last time I went through that section of the site, there was a disproportionate amount of thug-centric articles.

OK, I see the point, and it does sound like a good idea. It's just that the people writing these articles are not only simplifying the language, but also the concepts--so it reads like a parent explaining something to a small child.

But I guess one could argue that since I'm not contributing to it, I'm wasting my time by criticizing it.
