On the 2nd day of Christmas

Dec 15, 2009 17:57

Well 2nd day and kinda stressful about tomorrow. Also one of the reason I'm really sad about the death of imeem is due to the fact that it provided obviously for it's free music which allows me to listen to something before deciding to buy it. Although I admit when it comes to music on the internet I would prefer something completely free not websites which require you to use your credit card to buy stuff as you go. I dislike using this sort of sites as such mainly because I feel that every time I buy online I am risking losing money with all the viruses, trojans and bootkits created to hack your account and steal your money. And with the current prevalency of these viruses online, I would much rather reading something for free like scanlated manga rather then losing my money by buying it online through a number of sites such as Yuricon. And of course there's the issue of money would you prefer to save money for something else or rather spend 30 dollars when you can get it for free.

And to clarify, yes I have anti-virus program but nonetheless I am still paranoid with the possibility of newer viruses and said program being hacked. And furthermore, no I don't use torrents as they are just as much of a risk when it comes to downloading rather when it comes to free music, I prefer using freeware such as dvdvideosoft as you can easily get music from safe sites such as youtube and not worry about any of the problems such as viruses being hidden in it or anything. Which is why I suppose we constantly have bastards muting the audio. Nonetheless it seems to be a failing process as normally there are at least 10 or so versions of a song uploaded uploaded as mv, amvs, karaoke etc etc. And then there's the official channels for the mvs. Perhaps one day these companies will likewise be targeted full force as torrent sites are now. But until that day comes I'm enjoying my legal free music. Anyhow let's get to it with 'Chestnuts roasting on an open fire'

5 things you may or may not know about Chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
1.Also known as the 'Christmas Song'
2.Composed by Tome and Wells in 1946.
3. Most popular recording was by Nat King Cole Trio
4. The Trio's recording was added to the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1974
5. Song is popular for family imagery

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Jack Frost nipping on your nose,
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.

Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe,
Help to make the season bright.
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow,
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.

They know that Santa's on his way;
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh.
And every mother's child is going to spy,
To see if reindeer really know how to fly.

And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To kids from one to ninety-two,
Although its been said many times, many ways,
A very Merry Christmas to you
