A couple of issues...
Firstly, Deltora Quest the anime is getting a new opening. Yep that's right, Deltora Quest's 3rd Opening is the Jap version of 'In this Life by Delta Goodrem'.
Whilst I have no problems with their song choice being a bit different and I do praise the Japanese creators for recognising the Australian roots of this show, I do wonder though how this fits into the narrative of the books. Whilst I do like the song to an extent, I also don't think it sounds that quite Deltora Quest. It just doesn't seem like a very inspired choice.
By this part of the series I'm just expecting something to do more with the themes of unity. Though Damien Leith's 'Shine Like the Sun' could just as easily work (Then the belt blazed with blinding rainbow light. The gems flashed like stars, their dazzling rays streaming over the battleground...). Though at the same time the information could be wrong considering my source is Wikipedia. The 5th ending is also said to be (according to wikipedia) 'Yubi kiri genman' by Hoifesta.

Cricket Racism Crisis- Firstly, I'd just like to say that I don't watch Cricket. It's fun to play but on TV it's the most boring shit I've ever watched ever! But I do hear about it in the news every now and then. And as such, can someone please tell me exactly what the fuck is so offensive about being called a 'monkey'? Do tell me what is so 'racist' about that comment?
John Edward- In the words of South Park, this guy is the Biggest Douche in the Universe. Honestly I can't comprehend what sick pleasure this dickhead gets from exploiting the emotional loss and suffering of others for attention, fame, publicity and money. Recently, he supposedly contacted 'Steve Irwin' from the other side and there was of course a big media storm about that. But the other thing I don't get about this saga is why Terri Irwin would believe in his paranormal bullshit. Whilst I can understand she is still suffering from the death of Steve part and the desperation for comfort bit,, I fail to comprehend how grief can lead one to believe in douches like John Edward.
Political Stuff in America- I'm no expert in American politics but it looks like Obama is steaming ahead and Clinton has dropped to 3rd place. But it looks like that she's got a slight lead in the New Hampshire voting. Personally I would like to see a Clinton/Obama combination since there's all this fuss about First Black President vs First Women President. Why not have both? Besides, political femslash like most femslash is trailing way behind political slash.
Whaling- Some bullshit video has been released on Youtube supporting whaling and labelling Australia 'racist'. Something the media didn't report is that this person also seems to be a Uchiha Sasuke lover and as such a Naruto lover. Either that or a complete attention whore who has been given too much attention by the Daily Telegraph. Either way, he's just as big of a douchebag idiot as Tim Flannery. Indeed though this idiot makes me ashamed to admit I'm a Naruto fan. It must be even more saddening for the Sasuke fans though knowing a idiot like this has gotten more attention then other fans who write a good fanfiction about Sasuke the revenge-obsessed idiot

More anime- Marchen Awakens Romance is back on after a hiatus featuring some show called SPHERES. Shame though that Nobuyuki Anzai just couldn't resist putting Snow in another one of those bullshit princess/damsel in distress scenarios. I seriously hate that cliched shit. On a brighter note, I don't have to deal with her crappy voice actor anymore (in most chinese dub, young females get really shitty annoying voices that remind you of Chinese Opera and Snow is no exception)
Personally I did like the Snow/Magical Roe flashback better then the manga (it was more emotionally touching) but why didn't they include the part where Alan gets involved in one of his tricks at the expense of entertaining Snow? Come on anime makers, Alan torture is hilarious. Still I must be way ahead of the Toonami english version (with equally shitty female lead voices) with this chinese dub I'm watching. Though I did notice a bit of inconsistency. In one scene, Dorothy's dress took a fair bit of damage (think short tennis skirts and more skin) and in the next episode it was instantly fixed.
Miyazaki Animated- Damn it, the final Miyazaki film is on this Thursday. Wish they show 'Tales of Earthsea'. I wanted to compare Goro Miyazaki to his father in terms of quality and the movie to the books (joined a new LJ comm that compares movie adaptations to their literature source)
