1. Albert. Followed by Harry, when he punched Albert, and then Cooper shortly after. ("Well, he probably meant to do that.")
I love that scene.
I seem to have inadvertently answered #5, also.
2. Hm. Big Ed Hurley, I think. I did not realize the depths to which I would come to love Pete and the Log Lady, but I had a feeling about them. Ed is just a big bluff schmuck in a tough spot, but you come to feel for him. Or I did.
3. I always feel awkward about these questions because online fandom is a mostly female space and I'm a dude. I feel like it's a totally different thing for me to talk about it, especially phrased that way, than it is for a woman. If I were paying attention I would've edited that part of the meme.
(David Lynch isn't nearly as big a weenie as I am which is probably why all the women on Twin Peaks (except Nadine, I guess, but including Catherine Martell, that glorious bitch) are smoking hot. If I had to pick a favorite... Shelly, by a nose.)
4. Ben Horne, no contest.
5. See #1
6. Norma/Big Ed for actual greatness. Harry/Josie for being a beautiful trainwreck. Shelly/Gordon
(The dark side: Cooper/Annie for being by fiat, Donna/James for being the MOST OBNOXIOUS THING EVER, and Shelly/Gordon for being so random and dumb that I feel like it has to be authorial commentary on being forced to commit Cooper/Annie.)
These are all canonical ships because I have no imagination.
7. Probably Harry. I wish I was more like Pete Martell.
8. The backwards talking probably. They only included it because the midget already could do it! And in general David Lynch's incomprehensible but oddly compelling metaphysics.
9. The giant papier-mache pawn, and in general, the supervillainous turn Window Earle takes after some good early brooding menace.
10. Prrrobably Bobby/Shelly. He's a twerp, but they're so pretty together.
11. Out of fanfic, or in general? Another movie actually resolving something would be nice, although it's a pretty futile wish at this point, unless we did a time hop. Cooper is a lot older in the dream, right?
Fanficwise... I'd like to see a good Josie-perspective (first or third) giving her backstory some coherency and sympathy. She's such a femme fatale cipher (Lynch's Orientalism showing again) but she does provoke sympathy and I'd like my feelings to make some sense.
Or: an anthology/collection of shortfic about things going wrong or just weird in the days leading up to and after the murders, centered on various people around town, both canonical and made up for the fic; a picture of the whole town gradually slipping into a dream-world. We get a little of this in the high school, and the very weird moment where Donna's little sister plays the piano. The way grief and horror makes things unreal.

12. I'd be happy to write either of those.
