film

wow the sidewalk film festival was amazing and has really reinvigorated my spirit even though my car got broken into. i got my back window busted out and what they took was a bag with some pens and pamphlets for my dad's pharmaceutical company. i guess they thought it was a purse or had some drugs in it. i'm pretty pissed off about it since this is the 2nd time this has happened, but i'm getting a new window put in so its ok. besides all that i keep thinking about these films i saw especially this one called "nights and weekends" which is about a couple that has a long distance relationship that falls apart over about a year. i'm not that great at explaining things, but just the dialog and the little quirky behaviors the characters do really hit home. this movie felt more real than any movie i've even seen before. i really felt awkward watching it b/c it reminded me of one of my former relationships. it was like seeing part of my life story.

going to sidewalk makes me want to get involved. i want to write scripts and make movies and tell stories and make people happy or whatever type of feelings i want the movie to make them feel. i don't know anything about making movies really, but i have all these stories i want people to see. writing on lj i am really lazy and i don't feel like sitting here typing forever so i never really go into a lot of details to make my stories and whatnot that great. when i go to japan to teach english i want to make a documentary about it. i think it would be cooler if it was a movie about a girl that goes there to teach and one of the scenes could be her getting groped on the train and then getting stalked and it would have some kind of bittersweet ending. i hope i don't get groped or stalked when i go there, but i here that happens a lot of times to foreign girls which is why nick is coming with me! i think living over there and teaching will give me a lot of great stories to tell especially if i decide to write a movie or something about it.

i feel like watching more movies now.
