Ode of Joy

 David

Golden skin smooth as silk pressed close to mine
His heartbeat the rhythm of my song of love
My caress of every part of his body via hands, lips, tongue
Creating his impassioned response and reciprocation
Fueling my explosive desire and thanksgiving for these moments
To the extent that tears of joy form
My breath catches at the incredible wonder of it all!

Such an incredible journey, the extent of which I dared not to dream.
Our love unimpaired  by ages a generation apart.
His giving of a birthday gift - Eartha Kitt at the Roosevelt Lounge.
A stage-side table, her hand extended for my adoring kiss.
Halloween on Santa Monica...Micky's and all the others,
The delicious crowd, the drag queens, dancing, drinking.
Weekending, Palm Springs, Warm Sands, clothing optional.
Rock concert at Anaheim.

All too good to be true, way to short of a time.
But all good things must end, and we go on.
There's no other logical course.
But, I love him still.
No other love since has had such an impact.

sex, gay relationships, gay men
