Lol for (what appears to be) a Sixth Sense reference (the children under blankets). Also, I think that the children behind the mirror didn't have button eyes. *checks in the book* Ok, it doesn't say anything about their eyes, but I don't think they'd behave so friendly if they were from the other side. Because my impression was that only 'the other people' had puppet-like bodies and buttons instead of eyes. Or the ones who let their other parents sew them on them. And once they let the other parents change them, they, um, were changed - and the children from behind the mirror didn't behave like they've gone native at all.
Also, um... why is Coraline's hair blue? o.o
