[ooc] fanon v. canon GO!

So, this is something that's been on my mind: I've heard multiple people at various times complain about fanon!Gant, but as someone who's never been heavily involved in PW fandom, I... don't really know what that means. So! In the interest of self-edification (and of writing a better, stronger, fancier Gant) I'd like to know, what does fanon!Gant mean to you? What don't you want to see in a Gant player? And most importantly, have I been doing any of those things?
