Book of the week
Back in March, just before the libraries closed for lockdown, they allowed patrons to take out up to 30 books. I managed to get 26, two of which were A Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings. I'd never read either of them but lockdown seemed as good a time as any to do so. I was aware that they were rather long and heavy-going so I decided to leave them until last. It's taken me seven months, and several renewals, but I've finally finished all the other library books. I started A Game of Thrones on Monday but I've not actually had much time for reading this week, other than yesterday. I'm currently up to page 170 out of 780. I'm enjoying it so far, although I think I'm glad that I've got it as a library book rather than buying it. I wonder how long it's going to take me to finish it. My books are due back on the 1st December, but I think I'm going to need to renew them again!
