Not Lego set

I was lucky enough recently to be gifted with a Hsanhe set - these are based on rejected Lego ideas and turned into actual products albeit with non-Lego bricks. In this case it was a suggestion for a Mini Shop series with small sets of high street names. The set I got was 6410-2, the 7-Eleven. I was a little wary because I've had a knock-off

That's worked out pretty well, certainly clearly a grocery store, I love the lights but grr on the poorly sized stickers, that's irksome. Lego sets I've had recently often have a few extra pieces left over, usually the smaller ones that are likely to be mislaid. I think the hands thing is a standard thing with not-Lego figures, the ones I've had cheap from Ebay need them attached and it hurts the fingers to do so, I agree. These sort of sets definitely make me appreciate Lego's quality also!

I couldn't believe how big they were, I think the one for the till is rather bad given that I can't even trim it down to fit. I think one of the extra pieces, the black connector is supposed to be used for the mystery holes in the sides - I read somewhere that they're to connect the shop to other shops to make a sort of high street type row of shops. How have you got on with the coffee shop? Was it the Starbucks one that you were after?

Very frustrating for sure given you can't cut them down.. I didn't know they could connect, though before I ordereed my coffee shop (which I've yet to get to, got distracted by the VW Beetle set thus far) I did watch a video by someone who has all or most of the shops and has set them up as a town square, which does look rather impressive - https://youtu.be/ghvc2ABSFok

That town square set up is quite impressive, it is very nice to see all the shops together like that. I noticed that he said in the video that the stickers for the 7 Eleven shop were too big so it wasn't just me!

It definitely shows them all off nicely.. shame about the stickers, you'll be pleased to hear the ones for my coffee shop (blog post imminent!) fitted very well, though the tiniest logo stickers didn't all have, well, sticky.

Ooh, I shall await it with bated breath! So either the stickers are super-sized but sticky, or correctly-sized but non-sticky? Oyy.
