Reading Bingo 2018 - January 2018

First bingo update of the year! Two squares already crossed off and I'm just over halfway through the book I'm currently reading as well which is a good start. I've now got a regular time for reading thanks to taking the bus to work so hopefully I should get plenty of books completed this year.

What did you think of "Rosemary and Rue"? I read it years ago and never got around to reading the rest of the series. I guess it didn't leave a lasting impression.

I wasn't all that impressed with it to be honest. Toby was a complete waste of time. She spent most of the book getting almost killed and just wandering around randomly. On top of that, the abusive paedophile ex-boyfriend was an incredibly dreadful character. Yeah, certainly not a series I'll be reading any more of!

I don't even remember the ex-boyfriend but year ... Toby isn't a very likeable heroine.

I read some reviews after I'd finished and most people said the same thing. There was a few who were gushing over how wonderful the book was and how awesome and strong Toby was which just made me wonder if they'd read the same book I had!

Hardly! A certain friend of mine has read seven books so far this year and has crossed five squares off that bingo card already.
