Trans AMA
I mentioned at the end of November how I'd been thinking for a while about doing an anonymous Trans Ask Me Anything type post on here following the suggestion from a couple of friends. This seems like a good date to do it. I came out as Trans on the 9th of January, 2004. Barely a month later, on the 17th February, I set up my website with the intention of providing resources and information to other Trans folk. Despite the fact that I'd barely started transitioning myself, I was already looking out for others! That's something that I've continued to do ever since, for both Trans and non-Trans folk, either in paid employment or voluntary.
So I am putting on my Trans 101 hat again and giving you all - both old friends and new - an opportunity to ask questions about Trans stuff. Perhaps there's something you've always wanted to ask but thought it was too silly, too embarrassing or something you felt like you should already know. It can be about me personally or Trans stuff in general, such as pronoun usage, what various terms mean, hormones, surgery, etc.
All comments are screened. If you'd prefer to be completely anonymous so even I don't know who you are, then please feel free. I know that logging out and back in again is such a pain! I'd rather people were anonymous than not ask at all for fear of being thought silly.
I will try to answer to the best of my ability - although anything that's really too personal I politely reserve the right to not answer. I'll post the questions and my answers in a few days time.
