I just received a rather interesting email from Waterstones and I thought that some of you might find it suitably interesting too.

Like the show in the West End that opens on 30th July? That's why they've printed the script - apparently there were so many fans disappointed because they wouldn't be able to see the play but now everyone has access to the content of it at least.

There are am dram performances of Discworld? I wasn't even aware there was a professional one! But knowing how tightly controlled anything to do with Harry Potter is, I rather doubt there'll be anything outside of the West End or Broadway. Certainly not for a while anyway.

Stephen Briggs stage adaptations were published not long ago and a quick google finds a performance of Mort in Brisbane, Guards Guards adapted and performed in 1999 by a Geoffrey Cush..oh and youtube has a full performance of Wyrd Sisters by Falmouth and Exeter College Cornwall (going by the delighfrul acronym FECCLES :) ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdYihRkejsg

You've likely got a point on the Warner stranglehold of Potter tho :(

I had no idea. I knew about the TV series for Soul Music and Hogfather but that was about as far as it went. I was never a big fan of Discworld though, couldn't really get into them.

FECCLES is an excellent acronym.

There's tv versions of others too, tho i never really got into them, oh and Wyrd Sisters as animation... I've always been a huge Discworld fan from very early on (think i started reading them when he'd only done the first 3)
