New art and new layout!
I was feeling kind of creative the other day so I had a look through my collection of tutorials to see what appealed. I follow a design blog site which has lots of tutorials and any that look interesting are put on Pinterest where I have a board for Illustrator tutorials and another for Photoshop ones.
I'd recently seen a tutorial for a surreal poster. I love surrealism, especially the psychedelic kind, and this posted seemed to be more in that vein. It also didn't look too taxing so it appealed on many levels ;) This is the result:

I was so pleased with how it came out that I was inspired to do something I've been thinking about for a while - change my LJ layout! I had been intending on doing a Wolverine one, using the same image I have on my Facebook, but I much preferred this surreal picture. I used the colours in it for the layout and I think it looks pretty nice. It's such a change to the previous layout which was all dark and purple, this one is so light and colourful in comparison!
