I got my car insurance renewal quote a couple of days ago. I expected it would be much more expensive but I also have 7 years protected no claims bonus. It was much worse than I thought.
£512.83.
FIVE HUNDRED AND TWELVE POUNDS. WHAT THE FUCK?!
I know that I made two claims last year. One of the incidents wasn't even my fault but I still get penalised for it which I think sucks huge great sweaty monkey balls.
I've checked confused.com for other quotes this afternoon but the cheapest one is about £480. If I didn't have the two claims, it would be about £390. It is seriously frustrating and annoying and other similar things. There's no way I can afford it. I really need a car as well. Without one, I'm severely limited to what temp jobs I can get, but also it's needed for doing the weekly shop and taking my mother places as she doesn't drive. GRRRRR.
