One reason I was concerned about having a Tory government was that, with their record of homophobia, they would revoke all of the rights that LGBT people have been given by the Labour government. they'll never take back anything that's already gone through - it's look too bad. but there's pretty much no hope of anything else progressive for LGBT people going through with a tory government.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I went looking for it. I read something about how the Tories were trying to suppress the article so I don't know if that's what's happened there or not.

Surely any law can be revoked. If not, we'd still be living with all the crap the Tories dumped on us when they were last in power.

yes, it CAN be, but they never *would*. they're trying to look progressive. and a lot of it is bound by EU law now anyway, and they're not gunna pull out of the EU.

The Tories don't want to be bound by EU law. They want Britain to be ruled by British law. Their policy says, "A Conservative government will change the law so that never again would a government be able to agree to a Treaty that hands over areas of power from Britain to the EU without a referendum."
