More wuv
Had a fun day doing three homophobia bullying workshops today, one just before dinner and then two back-to-back afterwards. This time we split the classes into two groups which made it so much easier, and it was nice to deal with just a couple of students when we did the small group work. I ran one set of the workshops so it was much harder work than previously. I'm knackered now!
It didn't really help that there were issues on the train home either. It was completely jam-packed, so I ended up sitting on the floor near the doors going into the next carriage, all squashed up next to a huge bag that had been put there. I managed to get a seat after the first station so that was good. I ended up sharing it with a puppy of a spaniel variety who was travelling with a friend, and he kept wanting attention. The puppy, that is, not the human friend. Then a train broke down at Horwich Parkway or something so we had to sit and wait for ages till we could get past it. I got to read lots of my book anyway, The Black Book of Secrets which is a lot better than I thought it would be actually; I only started reading it on the way down and there's just 90 pages left now! It was going on for 7pm by the time I fell in the front door at home and I'd left the school at about 4.15. Eugh.
But! When I got in, I had a loverly surprise in the form of a postcard from the also loverly Melly. I wasn't expecting one at all so I felt most honoured. Thank you, Melly!
Now to flake out, watch old episodes of QI and finish my book, I think.
