Customer service is on vacation this week, apparently. I ordered a Christmas gift for Rob online and was informed in my confirmation e-mail that I would receive another e-mail when the item had been shipped. No e-mail came, even though their website indicated that orders shipped to Indiana usually take around three days. I gave them a week. So I used their handy-dandy contact form (because there was no listed phone number, of course) to politely ask them to tell me the status of my order. I got a pop-up informing me that my response would be addressed within two business days. That was three days ago.
I wrote them a not-so-nice e-mail this morning (no response as of yet), but it turns out the package came in the mail today. Let's hear it for communication!
Then yesterday, on my way out of Von Maur, I saw that they had Calvin Klein dress shirts on sale, so I picked one up for Rob. I took it to the counter and waited for the turkey-necked old guy to come help me. We made eye contact, but he chose to hover over the broad in the fur coat who was staring at the suits instead of coming over to the register to, you know, MAKE A SALE. I stood there for about five, maybe seven minutes before I glared at him and walked over to another section. Dick. If I would have had time, I would have stood my ground and possibly made a bit of a scene.
Today, I called one of the companies we have a trade account set up with to see if they could send me our orders for the month of November. I got the run-around from two separate people, saying that our invoice was in the mail. I told them we don't get our invoices that way, that they're always faxed to us, and mentioned that I called yesterday to get a fax and still hadn't received it. I was put on hold forever and then told that my invoice was in the mail.
ETA: Got the fax, but IT WAS FOR THE WRONG COMPANY.
Is it Friday or Monday?
