The scene looked familiar to anyone who had entered a school at least once. Teenagers littered around the premises, some situated themselves by the school's perimeter as they caught up, others gathered around the school hallways spreading the latest gossip over the break. Even some of the teachers already seemed on edge as they called after students to stop running in the halls.
If there was one thing Beat never imagined himself doing in Somarium, it was going back to school. Nevertheless, he made his way to the school grounds, pushing against the pavement as he rolled on over on his skateboard. He had almost slept in considering how it had been so long since he had woken up at such an early hour on his own and he continued to wipe the sleep out of his eyes as he got closer to the institution. With a kick of his board, Beat made it up the stairs and into the building with time to spare.
Upon his arrival, he was greeted the familiar faces of people he had known both from both Somarium and Shibuya. He slapped Neku on the back and greeted him with a loud "yo", he had raised a hand to wave to Maka, and even nodded at Boris as he walked on by. However, he hadn't seen the one person he was looking for since he walked in and it was only when he had been looking over the class lists when he heard that familiar voice.
"Beat!" Before he knew it, a pair of arms wrapped themselves around him and he was more than certain on who it had been. "We're going to be in the same class!"
"For real, yo? That's grea--" His voice caught on his throat and he paused in midthought as he turned to face Ty Lee.
"The uniforms back in the Fire Nation were never this cute," she said, twirling in place to show it off. "What do you think, Beat?" But the question fell on deaf ears as Beat continued to stare at his girlfriend.
She was decked in a
complete school uniform similar to the ones they had at the schools back home. His mouth hung open as he gave her a once over, noticing every tiny detail about her ensemble. How the sweater seemed to cling onto her frame, how the short skirt and socks seemed to frame her shapely legs, and how she seemed to carry the outfit well and make it fit her. It was definitely turning him on. And he sure hoped to hell that it didn't show.
It wasn't long until he felt her finger slide under his chin. "I'm guessing you like it." A giggle escaped her lips and with a small flick, Beat finally closed his mouth.
"Y-yeah! I do, yo! You look hella good!" As he stumbled over his words, he took another look at her from head to toe. He gulped down whatever had been stuck in his throat and let out a breathy "An' seriously hot, yo."
Ty Lee on the other hand enjoyed the praise she was receiving from the boy. She inched closer towards him, standing on tip-toe to give him a peck on the cheek. With that, she laced her arm around his and pulled him towards their classroom. "Come on. We can't be late on our first day!"
And for the first time in a long time, Beat didn't mind having to go back to school. Especially if he was going to be greeted to something like this everyday.
There was a grin on Beat's face for the first few moments after he had woken up. If only he had dreams like this more often. Then it slowly began to dawn on him that the dream he just would broadcast over the network for all to see. That was definitely something that he had not wanted to deal with first thing in the morning. Hell, he didn't want to deal with something like that at all! Pushing the covers to the side, he scrambled out of bed and reached for his Dreamberry, hoping against hope that he still had time to slap a filter over that. But it had already been too late. All he had to do now was just deal with whatever was going to come.
