happy summer!
hm...i havent updated in awhile...lets see..ok so i guess ill start with prom. (which seems like forever ago)
prom = LOTS of fun! more fun than i expected it to be. but then again...a dance is only as fun as you want it to be, and i wanted it to be memorable so it was. there was lots of drama going on (not with me). but theres always drama at dances..it just seemed that it involved twice or three times as many people as it usually does. (aka people getting kicked out) but hey! more room for dancing and moving in general! now..whoever threw up on the floor...that was just nasty..if you cant hold your liquor, then keep your a$$ at home or wherever you got drunk...dont bring that to where people are tryin to have a good time. the group i went with (andrea, amaka, christine, chinwe, elaine, ally, achico, enegeh) is/was naturally fun and exciting..we didnt need all of that. we can be just as loud and crazy without it. haha. which thank goodness people realize we are always like that or im sure we coulda got questioned. i loved who i went with...i wouldnt change ONE thing from that night. we all met up at amaka's house and had a FEAST. like there was soooo much food. by the time i finished i couldnt even move. everything was sooo good, and we watched ANTM and took lots of pics. all the stress and worry among everyone was well worth it in the end. or at least i think so. then we all piled into cars and went to the dance. i thought the dance room was the perfect size...it wasnt massive but it wasnt a mouse hole. and despite the fact that the d.j. had a cowboy hat on and played the same songs a few times the music wasnt half bad. everyone seemed to have a pretty good time. and then afterwards we went to after prom...which was by no means as fast paced and exciting as prom. but im still glad i went. if i wasnt playing spades, i was just chillen around having slush drinks. haha. if i didnt go i would have felt like i would have missed something..and it was better than going home right after the dance. um so afterwards...got home and didnt even go to sleep, went to church and then walmart... i had stayed up from 7 am saturday morning to 11 am sunday..so past 24 hours. and i still wasnt tired...the only reason i went to bed is bc i was forced.
um...then there was my party on the wednesday after prom. which was turned into a RENT party. andrea, rach, kristin, tia, amaka, erica, and rae came for awhile. and there was alot of food as usual. it was fun. i loved having to pick people up from subway bc they couldnt find "the wall" haha and im not being sarcastic..it was actually really funny. and then when my mom coming home having to keep rewinding scenes in RENT so my mom wouldnt see it. and then amaka telling me my room should be on room raiders. that was soo funny.
and after that was graduation/madonna day practice. first at the catholic charasmatic center, which wasnt as long and tiresome as i thought it would be..then we went to st. agnes to eat lunch and have madonna day practice. then afterwards i just kinda hung around and ran errands before i went home.
and then friday was madonna day. which for me was pointless haha. but whatever. my mom came even though i told her i wouldnt get anything. then afterwards there was a reception. where we hung and took pics. then afterwards my mom went back to work, and i went with rae to her house, and then we went over to tia's bday lunch at Houstons. Afterwards, a few of us went to trey's house and watched dazed and confused which was interesting. after we left, we went back to rae's house to get my phone, hung around there for awhile, and then she took me home.
saturday was graduation day!!!! i had to get up early to get my hair done, then we had to get to the place at 3:30 for graduation. it was a tad bit long bc there was mass, but i rather had mass with graduation then have to go sunday morning. and since i was cup for em..its not like i was just sitting there. but not alot of people drank the wine so when we had to go to the back to finish it, mr. n told me to just drink it all and i started chugging it/ choking on it..and then next thing i know i got a headache. haha. my aunt and cousins came to graduation and that was about it. afterwards it was sooo hectic in there that i just left..i didnt even try to hang around. and we (mom and aunt and cousins) went to cafe adobe for my party!!! like 98 percent of the people that was invited showed up. so it was good. no. great. and by the time we got there most people were there. i had the most beautiful cake in the world. and i got sooo much money from people...who knew people u dont know that well could be so giving. haha. and we ate all this mexican food and cake and had music playing. and this mariachi band even came for awhile. i had to do this impromptu speech after my mom gave one..which was nice. my cousin brought her stereo and we played rap/hip hop music which to my surprise the young people started dancing to. and one of my mom's friends daughters gave me a really really nice gift...aka alcohol. haha. she was like here have this huge glass of margarita..and then you can have some of this coke and rum..and me, her, and my cousins were like seperated from the rest of the party drinking and actin crazy. haha. and my mom ..like after she finished she kept joking that one of my cousins was drunk and we would look at eachother and burst out laughing..it was funny. and their brother saw us (hes 9) and he was like ooooh im telling...and so i had to bribe him with 5 dollars to keep his mouth shut. haha this is how things work in our family...bribes. lol. and we danced..and the bartender kept smiling at us..it was strange. it ended at like 11...it was sooooo much fun.
then next day (sunday) i woke up...aka mild hangover...haha...so it took me forever to get ready for sarah s. grad. party. but it was nice when i got over there. and they had mamosas!!! haha but there wasnt that much champ. in it. but still it was good. then afterwards...left came home, and slept some more.
monday..stayed home...chilled.
tuesday...hung out with andrea!!! which was very nice. we went to la madaline..i have never eaten there before...it was sooo good. i think im obsessed. then good ole starbucks, old navy, target, mall, etc. haha it was a very nice outting with her.
today...just chillen some more. probably go out later...
