last night was scary.
So, you might remember how I described Afghans to be belligerent and violent? Well, last night an incident gave me a strong piece of evidence to support my description.
Yesterday was Afghan Independence Day and in celebration for it, there was a concert in Fremont. So we went. Before we left though my dad made me change because he said my dress was too revealing for an afghani event. pssh. I got really pissed off and didn't talk to my parents all the way there. Anyway, the concert was boring in the beginning because the dude sang slow songs. But then the fast songs came on and everyone got up to the dance floor and...well, they danced. Including meeee. It was mostly young people there, so my parents and my cousin's parents were complaining most of the time. During the intermission, he Afghan Student Club or something like that from Cal State East Bay came up and talked about the lack of schools in Afghanistan and it was sad because no one was listening. Afghans really suck. After that there were more fast songs.
Ok. So there was this one girl...she had really ugly hair, but she was pretty. Anyway, she was dancing with whom I assume was her boyfriend. Then she left the dance floor and brought another guy...about 2 minutes later a sprawl broke out RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE (we were seated right next to the dance floor) and I literally got my ass off and like sat on my cousin to get away from them. So then I thought it broke up but then RIGHT BEHIND US about 10 guys started punching the fuck out of each other. It was scary because they did it right next to a huge camera crane thing that was right above our heads and it was totally about to fall so I got the fuck up and then our parents pushed us out of here. Outside was a guy with blood all over him...it was so fucking trippy and all I was saying was "omg..omg...omg" and my uncle was cussing out Afghans the whole time. He was yelling it and it was pretty embarassing because everyone was staring at us.
Moral of the story: we suck.
I think there should be a study done on Afghans. We're all violent in some way. Even I have my violent side...I used to beat up my sister and I tend to throw/rip stuff when I'm mad. Older people always say that we should try to conserve our culture but I think it's better if we just let it die out...fuck out culture.
