I've been seeing a slew of job postings that have gotten my interest, if not gotten me actually excited about the prospect. I put in for the job and then hear nothing. I call and I get the "We are still looking over applications. Ok, I get that. But then I see them re-list the jobs at anywhere from $2 - $4 drop in pay.
But why?! Are people generating interest with the promise of a decent job, then cut it out from under the applicants with a "realistic" pay range? I'm just confused on the matter. And even if they re-list it, what happened to the other applicants in the first run. Are they now not not elligable for the job? I guarantee you call them and set up an interview where you drop it on them at the end, they will still sign on the dotted line.
