Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted...
Time appears to be slipping quickly through my hands again. Apart from a few brave ventures fraught with perils and cold, I haven't really stirred much from the house until this weekend. It started snowing the day I got back home, and didn't stop until late the 26th. It's weird because it's something that simply DOES NOT HAPPEN here, so barely anyone is equipped to deal with it.
What's been frustrating is being here, but still unable to see the people that I miss so much when I'm down in SB, while missing everyone in SB. It's been like being in some sort of white limbo. I actually quite like snow, I just wish we had functioning plows. Walking the couple blocks to my hairdresser and back ended up taking almost half the day!
And now, I've been left with so much to do, so many people to see, and only 1/3 of the time to do it in.
And this year just didn't really feel like Christmas. I had a fun time and all, but it didn't feel very Christmasy. We couldn't make it to church, because of the snow, and I just didn't get the same thrill in giving gifts this year. Maybe because the snow inhibited me from more personal presents? I don't know.
But I get to go to Jazz Alley tomorrow for some Latin Jazz with my uncle. So that should be fun.
