Support Peace - vote peace

I know it may seem strange to some that I'm switching back to being a Democrat. Devon has already teased me. I still think "wanted by the mother" is not the only justifiable criteria for saving the life of a human being in the fetal stage of development. However, it makes no sense to me to give birth, spend thousands raising them and then send them off to kill people. That isn't being pro-life. So, near as I can tell there is no pro-life party around, so I will work for the pro-peace party at least.

This past weekend I went to a "town meeting" of the anti-war activists in Los Angeles. Ed Asner introduced Congresswoman Waters and Congressman Dennis Kucinich (www.kucinich.us) who is a pro-peace Congressman. He is one of the few that voted this past Thursday AGAINST spending an additional $75billion on the war.

He has proposed the creation of a Department of Peace.

He is part of the original "progressive" roots of the Democratic party. He wants us to focus on meeting our domestic needs which we are promising to provide to the Iraqi survivors but which our own citizens are NOT receiving.

He is encouraging all of us to focus on developing a peace movement and backing candidates who support change through peaceful means.

He is in support of the protestors using their voices in the ways they feel are necessary to wake up the leadership and American people in order to get them to question what is happening and redirect efforts into peaceful solutions.

I welcome you to check out his website. www.kucinich.us
