Stop Ralph Reed!
Those of you on my friends' list who are in Georgia might want to remember tomorrow that we have an open primary. That means that you can vote for a Republican even if you plan to vote for the Democratic candidate in November. That was a tactic used a few years back to drive Cynthia McKinney out of office.
I plan to vote Casey Cagle for Lieutenant Governor simply in order to ensure that Ralph Reed does not get elected. It is going to be very close whereas there is not that much that I care about in the Democratic primary. I generally favor Cathy Cox over Mark Taylor in the governor's race but otherwise I can pass. Another key Republican to defeat is Bill Stephens, who is opposed by the more competent Karen Hanadel. Again, I plan to turn around and vote for the Democrat, Shyam Reddy, come November.
