College????? When are you coming?? I'm bored here, very bored. But anyways, I was greatly saddened by the Columbia Space Shuttle explosion. Kalpana Chawla was the first Indian woman ever in space. She is such an inspiration to me. It's not fair, she was breaking the mold of Indian women, she was going forward coming from a country where so much is backwards...it's not fair that she had to die. It's not fair that any of them had to die. As I stood there putting books on a cart at work, President Bush came on the radio from the White House and said "The Columbia is lost. There are no survivors." And then he proceeded to list all their names, and at that moment the magnitude of this tragedy struck me greater than at any other moment. Everything that was going on around me seemed so insignificant. So I came home from work and just sat, and then had the intention of reading Madding Crowd but fell asleep. What a waste. Tracy called me cuz we were supposed to hang out, but of course I'm always too dead to do anything. I suck. Now I'm sitting here, not looking forward to anything, and considering some future events, thinking about people, and re-evaluating everything. Goodnight.
