After reading the
most depressing thing ever, I thought to myself "Pete, you need to go for a walk." Sos I visited Joe & Charles, planning to A: help Joe with his sleeping troubles in the form of meletonin and B: make sure they finally watch Trekkies. Hung out there till a little after four. Right after I walked out the door an owl flew by carrying a rabbit. Ran ran ran home. Noticed the mp3 player was only playing certain songs (am still getting the hang of it) so I'm staring at it as I wander home and I walked head first into the back of a truck. Bumped my upper lip and whacked my right knee pretty good.
Dumbass.
Anyway, draped a piece of liner Holly removed (against previous loud objections from me!) from the main pond temporarily under the bog liner and down the fall. Has been running since yesterday afternoon with no water loss. So now we know it is the fall (and Holly was right) so we just need to get another can o' waterfall foam and finish sealing all the gaps in the rock. The pond is very green. Holly transplanted one of the numerous yucca offshoots which will hopefully grow into a happy lil clump of it's own. Her $8,000,000 digital camera came yesterday so expact a bombardment of pictures.
I haven't looked at the hostas in a while. I know, I know, everyone has them. I didn't warm up to them for a very long time. Anywho, they're giant. Even the one I rescued from the sidewalk last year is huge, albeit having only a single stalk. I'm sure that will change next year. Oh yes.
