Hello, there.

What has Pete been doing?

Amtgard turnout has been great. More people, longer games. Good stuff. 17 people last Sunday. Most of them fairly agreeable. Old friend of mine finally came out and is excited about playing monk.

Pond construction has begun. Turns out digging the hole is easier than moving several hundred pounds of dirt from here to our old place to fill in the old pond. Almost black out. Hard work. New hole is just under two feet so far and already half full of water (it rained). When done it will be 8x13x3 feet. Bottom drain, settling tank, bog filter.

Got a wireless card for my computer. Didn't check the Linux compatability very well, but I got it working after a couple days. See. It's working. :P Cable modem and wireless router are now unobtrusively arranged in the general area of the TV and all that extra wiring on the floor is gone. Also after those past months of fiddling with settings to get the PS2 and computer talking, I found out in about forty seconds how easy it is to give a NIC two IP addresses in Linux. Am both pissed and pleased with myself.

Still getting the hang of driving. Still need to get out more. Still need to unpack, but apparently we're painting first.

TJs has been freshly stocked with jailbait. Somewhere inside me is a very pleased Dirty Old Man. Hopefully a few of them turn out to be decent workers. Our turnover rate has been... higher than usual the last, oh, seven or eight months for some reason. I keep waiting for things to level out. TH=hey keep not leveling out. One of my favorite coworkers got fired for doing something really stupid. *le sigh*

I should be in bed. I have to get up in less than six hours.
