Sleepless in Versailles
I don't think I mentioned that I moved recently and now residing in Versailles, Ky. I'm still suffering from pretty bad insomnia but I've found a few methods that help to an extent. Luckily I requested tomorrow off from work to attend a protest. I think a lot of people won't show up due to the weather.
Recently I have found myself not only attempting to expand my EGL wardrobe but also working on building up more depth and options among my everyday wear. I'm trying hard to find ways to mix in elements of lolita into work acceptable looks. I've found that a lot of the cardigans and jewelry/purses can easily be thrown into a day to day coord. It really bothers me when I spend so much money on items I can't even work into my daily wear. I hope to resolve this issue over the next 1-2 years.
It seems as thought the Ky_lolita group is really picking up and getting active again. I've created a group on facebook in order to boost membership and communication. It seems to be working rather well!!
Tomorrow I hope to finish at least a dress and skirt. I'm working on a cherry print OP, a classic styled JSK, two polka-dot skirts and several other items. The completion of my JSK is currently my main concern as I wish to wear it to the next meet-up. I want to finish the OP before the one afterwards. I find by making more of my items in my wardrobe not only do I save money but I also improve my sewing abilities. With stress on my wallet that is exactly what I need to be doing.
