General
Character: Bruce Banner [
bannered]
Species: Mutate
Extra-human/abnormal abilities, if any?: Transforms into a superstrong, nigh-invulnerable green monster, genius intellect.
Psychology
1. Is it okay for your character's thoughts to be read/their mind to be probed?
Yes, but don't expect much.
2. Is it okay for any of your character's intense/distressing memories to be seen/heard/read in this situation?:
Sure.
3. What kind of mind does your character have? Are they disturbed at all? Are their thoughts ordered or jumbled?
Very jumbled, and probably shaded green.
4.Is it okay for your character's emotions to be sensed?
Yep!
5. Does your character have a weak or strong mind? Are they susceptible to influence or hypnotism?
He's got a very strong mind, so that's a no for influencing/hypnotism/whatever.
6. Does your character have supernatural/mental fortification against mind-reading?
He sure does! The radiation blast mucked up his brain but good, so it'd be very difficult to get coherent, whole thoughts and memories. Expect jumbles and flashes.
7. In the case of characters who are extra-sentient/psychic and can just 'know' things about people, can the muns of these characters use the powers of Wikipedia to get information about your character?
Of course.
8. If so, is there anything that should absolutely never ever be brought up?
Nope!
9. Anything that should absolutely be brought up?
Hmmmm. Not really.
10. Will thoughts in the narration be up for grabs? If so, how will you indicate these? Italics/strikes/something else?
If they are, I'll make it obvious, or I'll instant message to make sure.
11. Does your character have any fears/phobias that you wouldn't mind being exploited? Ones that you'd like to NOT be exploited?
Bruce has got a fear of being trapped and caught by the army, and being experimented on to the purpose of replicating his green condition. Also, he's afraid of the Hulk itself and what it can do so. Exploit away!
Physiology
1. Is it okay for your character to be affected by chemical agents? Fear toxins, for example?:
In his human form, yes. But any reactions from such chemicals (knowing he's dying, becoming especially afraid) could trigger the Hulk, so fair warning.
2. Does your character have any unique biological difference that would affect their resistance to toxins/chemical substances?:
The Hulk would be immune to most things thrown at it. It'd have to be something incredibly strong to even have a momentary effect on the monster, so. Yeah.
3. Does your character have any notable genetic/supernatural/biological difference that would make their blood in any way different to a regular baseline human's (that would make them taste different if they were fed on by a vampire, for example)?
The fact is that Bruce's blood is irradiated and slightly changed by the accident, which probably means it would at least taste bad, and at worst be poisonous to anyone ingesting it.
Physical
1. How okay are you with your character coming to physical harm?
Totally.
2. How okay are you with your character's home/possessions being targeted by bad guys?
Go for it.
3. Can your character be impacted by telekinesis?
Absolutely.
4. With regard to vampires, would your character be willing to be a donor?
Never. Boyo knows his blood is messed up.
5. If no, then how about unwilling?
Sure, but remember attacking Bruce has the possible consequence of triggering the Hulk.
6. With regard to shapeshifters, are you okay with having those with this power taking the shape of your character?
Sure.
7. If your character has any superhuman abilities, would you be okay with these being replicated by those who have the power to absorb/take on the powers of others?
The genius intellect, yes. The Hulk, no. Nobody in their right mind needs or wants multiple Hulks running around.
8. In a physical confrontation, is it okay if characters who have the power to sense/foresee/predict movements use this to their advantage against your character?
Yeah.
Magics
1. Can your character be influenced and tempted by demons and suchlike?
Not easily, since his mind is particular strong, and the accident has made him resistant to such things.
2. If yes, which sins are most prominent in your character?
Pride, wrath.
3. Could your character be glamoured (a form of mind control employed by vampires to make humans compliant/alter their memories etc.)?
Again, probably not easily, due to his mutation.
4. Can your character be possessed, again by demons?:
See above. And remember, should he be possessed, the body carries the same rules - push it too far, and it'll go green.
5. Can your character's presence be sensed, by characters with the power to read auras/pick up generalized vibes from people?
Absolutely.
6. If yes, what about your character can be sensed? (Which sins, any supernatural aspect about them, how strong a character is mentally/physically/emotionally, any traits that would really stand out):
SINS: Pride and wrath, as stated before
SUPERNATURAL: The whole Hulk thing, i.e. there being a duality, something dangerous and powerful just underneath the surface, that sort of thing.
STRENGTH: Mentally - strong. Physically - pretty strong, with hidden strength. Emotionally - fragile as a twig.
STUFF: If there's anything else you can think of, we'll talk about it.
7. With regard to characters that can sense danger/receive visions/predict general doom, are you okay with your character being the subject of any of this, if the occasion arises?
Yes.
Privacy
1. With regard to characters that like to snoop, can they find anything that's been publicly said by your character through the network?:
Yep.
2. How about privately?:
Nope.
3. Is there anything you'd especially like to be known about your character, for the purposes of amusement?
Not really.
4. Anything you especially don't?:
Not that I can think of.
Fourth Walling
1. Under what conditions might my character know yours?
Any decent, self-respecting comic fan since 1962 should know the Hulk. He's kind of a big deal.
2. Can my character tell yours that he/she is a fictional character?
Sure, but please don't just drop it on him like HOLY CRAP UR LIEK MAI FAVRIT COMIK KARAKTUR EVAR.
Also, bear in mind that Bruce is so massively ashamed of his collective history of mistakes, and telling him that yeah, pretty much everybody has been privy to it? Will send him on a gigantic spiral of embarrassment, depression, and angst - and very few people can do angst better than Bruce.
3. Can my character spoil yours for future canon history?
Sure, but keep in mind that this is movie!verse Bruce Banner, so all that comic stuff? Pretty much non-applicable. So if you go on and on about, say, Joe Fixit or the Illuminati, or World War Hulk? Bruce is going to look at you very strangely and just have no damn clue what you're on.
My one exception for this whole thing? Is Betty's 616!verse death. Even I'm not that cruel to my characters.
4. What about non-canon recognition (ie: "Oh my god, you're -ACTOR/CHARACTER NAME HERE- from -OTHER SERIES/MOVIE/WTFEVER HERE-")?
Feel free! Ed Norton has been in a bunch of stuff and it ranges from one end of the spectrum to the other (Red Dragon and Death to Smoochy. Need I say more?). It'd be hilarious for Bruce to find out he has about a half-dozen identical "twins" out there.
If there's anything in there that isn't covered, then go ahead and ask here.
