(no subject)
Becki messaged me! i've been assuming she hates me, so that makes me feel better. Just so you know, I pretty much say something on LJ every time she talks to me. So yea, we really don't talk much. I need to go to the farmer's market and get her some Hawaiian kine stuff. i don't believe in Christmas, but... i wanna get her something. I'm planning on giving her the HyPaMix song too. I'm starting to miss her now. She actually messaged me a few days ago, but i didn't have anything else to update on, so i just closed it and then restored from a draft just now. I was looking through some photos from my church in Glen Ellyn and there was one with me and becki talking in the background. *sigh* I really hope she doesnt hate me. i don't know what to say to her. "Hey! I missed you! well... sometimes I did. Most of the time I didn't, but sometimes I missed you a little and like twice a month i missed you a lot! but i missed you!" i guess i don't have to say anything about it. I don't know if i wrote about this before, but i talked about it. like... i figure i won't even realize how much i missed her till i see her. omg that's perfect. that's what i'll say! er... unless she's all like putting off this "get away from me" vibe. i think she'll want to see me, but i don't want to get my hopes up.
I've got a lot of work to do today, but i don't want to get started just yet. So i'll tell you about work.
Ok. Kyle goes to a charter school. He and all the kids get dropped off where I work and a guy in a van drives them to their school in the morning and to where I work in the afternoon. He's pretty cool. we don't talk much, but w/e. Hmmm... who are some notable pedestrians in the morning? There's the little girl i told you about who always says good morning to me. There's a couple of good-looking high school girls too. After the Elementary school bell, there's like 7 people who cross. One is this smokin hot teacher. I don't know if i talked about her before. she's hot tho. total TILF. There's also a high school girl that, despite having corn rows, is really hot too. Then there's two brothers (but sometimes there's three of them(???)) also in high school and a girl who's probably a senior that's always happy cuz she always sees her boyfriend before school. there's a brother and sister who look hispanic, but it's hard to tell cuz it's Hawaii. They're probably in junior high still. the high school and junior high are one campus, so it's hard to tell. The sister always smiles really big and tells me to have a nice day. she's nice. I have actually seen her before. The last time i got my hair cut, i got it cut in this shopping center just next to town. It's called malama cuz the biggest store there is malama market. so anyways, after i got my hair cut, i was waiting for dad, and that girl was there. I realized it some time last week that she was the same girl. the lady she was with was saying to cut most of it off so that she could barely put it in a pony tail. the girl wasn't happy about that. I remember the lady being a haole, but the lady that drops her off at school isn't so i dunno what's up with that. also, she still has a lot of hair, so...? maybe she got put in a foster home cuz her mom was trying to cut her hair against her will. lol. i'm glad though, she has pretty hair. it's really big and long and curly. oh yea, the groundskeeper crosses a few times in the morning. if there's cars, he'll come to the crosswalk, but if not he'll just go on his own. he's a nice guy.
in the afternoon, there arent as many kids. a lot of the kids in the morning don't cross or anything. I think the buses pick them up elsewhere. there are some other unusual characters. the most important one isn't even a crosser! she just stands kinda near where my crosswalk is. kinda far away too. she looks super-cute. i really can't be sure since she never comes close enough to know for sure. but she dresses cute and she's my type. there's something about seeing a girl that's pretty much exactly your type that makes being a crossing guard not so bad. lol. then there's one punk skater kid with green spiky hair. there's one local girl who always compliments me and tries to make me uncomfortable. yea, i don't know if i shared this, but on my first or second day, there was one person who was like "you're hawt" and i was like "you're making me uncomfortable." I think it was this girl. she's weird though. like i don't think she's actually into me (although that would be perfectly understandable), i think she's just weird like that to be funny. there's more, but they aren't very notable. like there's cliquey girls and... various uninteresting guys.
I don't really know what to do. I've said that my job is to look ridiculous and be embarrassed, which is surprisingly true. i don't cross kids that much, especially in the afternoon. i just stand there. and smile. i figure that the kids that are gonna make fun of me will do it no matter what. you can't look "hard" as a crossing guard. you know? so i figure i might as well just be nice.
The school's here are all different btw. They are never just one building. They're several buildings connected by covered walkways. The really big buildings will have the offices and stuff and most of the buildings have like 2-3 classrooms. it's cool that they can do that. it was like that at the community college. it was such a shock cuz i had only been here for like 2 weeks. I was walking around there and i saw lizards walking around. how cool is that?
Man, everything's so stressful now that we're at the end. Normally for business class, we would have two weeks for each unit. one week for the homework and one week for the test. the last two weeks, we have two units, so one week each. it takes me like 3 hours to read through the chapters to take the test. i don't even really study, i just read through it and try to remember stuff and it takes that long. so in addition today i've got to do two homework assignments (which usually takes a few hours as well). ugggggh. all my classes are like that a little. except accounting. so three of my classes are like that. Hawaiian plants class has the final paper due. it's supposed to be 5-7 pages, but we end up only having one week to work on it. i should have worked on it a little all semester though. especially because plants is my easiest class. ugggggh. stupid halo. lol.
