Fandom Snowflake Challenge - Day Nine
In your own space, rec at least 3 fanworks you thought you wouldn't like (because they weren't your fandom or they pushed against your boundaries or you thought you just wouldn't be interested) but you ended up loving.
wrenseroticlibrary in general (fic/drabbles for various Supernatural pairings/characters, but I've read mostly the Dean/Sam stuff). Yeah, I only ever got through the first season of Supernatural. But where there is incest, Gamma will eventually gravitate. There's just a huge variety of stuff here, covering all sorts of kinks and genres, and most of the stuff is quite short, which is good because of my non-existent attention span. Also, the audio posts were interesting, and I find myself wondering whether that kind of post is a 'thing' in fandom. It's not podfic, exactly - it's more like a radio play. Only, you know, a pornographic one.
comicsannibal in general (quote-unquote graphics for Hannibal). I JUST. I CAN'T. I feel my brain cells passing out with every minute I spend scrolling through that blog BUT IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY. IT'S SO DUMB. BUT WITH EVERY POORLY SPELLED CANNIBAL PUN I CAN FEEL THE LITTLE SEED OF HAPPINESS THAT LIVES IN MY HEART BLOSSOMING INTO A BEAUTIFUL FLOWER. I feel so unintellectual.
On a more specific note, A Bit About Boxing from deatheaterfest by notearchiver. I mean, it's Dudley and Goyle. That's not my pairing. I don't think that's anyone's pairing. But it's excellent. I really love this fic and I can't rec it enough (which you may have gathered because I've recced it before).
And on a way more general and somewhat less fandom note, 8tracks is an awesome place. I used to think it was sort of a pain, because you had to listen to the whole mix at once and you couldn't see what songs were coming. Buuut, then I discovered 8hacks. This is an excellent little application that downloads 8tracks playlists in, like, two minutes. WHOA RIGHT? :O It is the reason that my music library is now so very big and eclectic. So I totally recommend poking through 8tracks for mixes - you can pretty much find a mix or fanmix for your every desire there.
