[Bruce hadn't been to a Thanksgiving dinner since he'd been with Betty five years ago. She liked to make him be social and enjoy things, which was a big reason he'd fallen in love with her. Seeing the same tendency in Elektra now wasn't helping the moving on process, but he put that aside and ducked into the house.
He was dressed as presentable as was possible for someone that was near perpetually indigent, with slacks and a button down open over a T-shirt. Backpack still on, as he could never quite bring himself to leave it somewhere even when worldhopping, he looked a little scruffy. That probably wouldn't surprise anyone here.]
[Elektra on the other hand had dressed up in a red dress with silver jewelry to match that necklace she never seemed to take off. The house was even emptier than usual after Elektra sent away the staff to enjoy the holiday leaving only her bodyguards milling about. Thankfully he didn't land anywhere near them.]
Bruce?
[Her heels clicked against the floor as made her way over to the source of that voice. She offered a small smile once she found him.]
I don't have to ask where the kitchen is, do I? [he asks rhetorically, giving her a quick glance nonetheless as if to ask if it was okay to head there.] We should probably get started.
I don't think the food is what she's coming for, [he comments quietly. He can't help but think that if someone had cared enough to throw a Thanksgiving for him at Candy's age, he'd have been happy no matter what the food tasted like.]
No, it's not. [She says carefully.] She's coming to see that even if our family unit wasn't real she still belongs to something. Good food just helps the experience.

Was the backpack necessary?

[He shrugs it off and holds it in one hand.] Happy Thanksgiving.

Did you have anything in mind for dinner?

A turkey? Other than that I'm pretty much leaving it to you, Candy, and my fully stocked kitchen.

There is a lot of work to be done. Throwing Thanksgiving at the last minute...
[She sighs.] Usually I'm more practical.

I doubt anyone will mind. Thanksgiving isn't exactly about practical to start with.

As long as it will make her happy then it will be worth it.
