So,I accidentally poisoned my self with fumes from my welder last friday. I had been working on a new burgonet to sell on armour archive when I felt a bit woozy. When I stood up from my work bench I felt dizzy and thought I was going to hurl. I get rushed to the hospital for blood work and oxogen therapy, somewhere in the middle of all of this I rubbed my eye only to get a shard of steel stuck in there.
I suffered with mild irritation on saturday and then sunday drove out to practice to make sure people could fight if anyone showed up, only to have to get carted off to the ER by my buddy Scott. While there I had the doctor use a needle to dig out the splinter only to find that the needle he had could not go deep enough and I needed to see a specialist.
So monday rolls along and I get driven to see the specialist in Mystic, this guy is a sadist. He pulls out an even bigger needle then before that is attached to a vacuum mechanism, he tells me to hold still this wont hurt a bit and stabs it into my eye. The pain is terrible regardless of not having any nerve endings where he was sucking out rusted eye jelly. The pain causes me to involuntarily jump then my eye starts watering out of control and he has a nurse come in to restrain my head in this horrible head restraint. So now the nurse has me in a headlock and the doctor finishes stabbing me in the eye and says" there now isn't that better?". My eye is burning out of control and I get led out to the car. I have been stuck on bed rest and light activity for two days and I have been going stir crazy. anyhow lesson learned, do not weld in a poorly ventilated area.
