SCA bullshit.
So I went to practice on tuesday only to be told by an un-squired un affiliated marshal that I am a rhino and I cant hit. When someone yells across the field to my opponent"if he wont take a leg shot hit him harder"then proceeds to lecture to me about calibration I get pissed. So I reply, "then why dont you get your crap on and get out here,I am sure YOU can get me to take a leg shot. Though I would be carful if I were you I might just scramble your brain". Usually at this point in a practice Master Frodo would be shaking his head realizing that soon he may be filling an injury report for the war crimes Im about to commit, but times have changed and I am a kinder gentler person. I just thought to myself that this particular marshall had never won a tournament,had never been asked to join the unbelts, had never been squired, nor did he have an OTC. I then walked up to him and told him that if he had any problems with my calibration to talk to me about it later. It just makes me think back to a conversation that Arn and I once had about the rampant faggotry in the SCA and how it is this bullshit that keeps people from going back to practices.
