I am so humbled, as to bring new meaning to the word. Here I was expecting nothing more than some wind and rain, and Pensacola, along with rest of the Gulf Coast had a XXX size can of whoop-ass opened upon it. Allow me to walk you through Ivan for us....
Wed Night-7:30 Power goes out. Chad & Kelly freak
Wed Morning- 8:30 Power still out, hot as hell, estimated 3 weeks for Electricity.
Wed Night-Monday Am More of the same. Hot as hell, long lines for ice, water, gas, etc.
Monday 7:00PM- Power returns, with 44% of Pensacola restored.
Monday 7:01PM- Apartment complex goes apeshit
Anyway, it was a rough 5 days without power. But in the end, we were really the lucky ones. I've been driving around town and seen houses with their roof's ripped off, or some houses that were just demolished. I thank (insert deity here) that we all came through this storm alive, and in the case for myself, a little wiser about the next hurricane.
